In addition, Wabtec fully supports equipment purchased through us by protecting against manufacturer end-of-life issues, device repair, warranty administration and overall capability. We understand that if one element of the system breaks down, the whole system fails. We go to great lengths to ensure all pieces are proven and stable.
Wabtec will perform the following services to ensure all equipment purchased meets the needs of the specific application and user requirements. This is our standard offering associated with the procurement of all equipment.
Broker to investigate, present and procure mobile, wireless, fixed station and network
components against user requirements.
Single source of accountability for all issues and implementation
Ensure timely and effective support and warranty from all original manufacturers.
Provide insurance against end of life situations imposed by original manufacturers.
Wabtec will continue to repair and manage as component availability allows. Separate
maintenance agreements available.
Maintenance agreements in addition to manufacturer warranty
Provide technical expertise re: hardware and software
Rapid shipping and configuration of handhelds (excludes shipping costs)
Volume discounts with hardware manufacturers
Multiple service center locations to reduce shipping costs and ensure availability of
