Inventory and Equipment Management
Wabtec will manage and track the location, status and support history of every deployed and spare piece of equipment. A "device" is any item over $500 in value. Our Inventory Management services are supported by a web-based reporting and tracking system that captures the comprehensive status of all equipment. In addition it enables anyone with authorized access to review information associated with a device or persons using a device.

Customers may select any of these services that apply to each project. For example, a customer may have a department that will remain responsible for all asset tags. Wabtec will provide services when the customer needs it.

Our services include, but are not limited to the following;

Procurement Management
Wabtec will manage the placement of multiple purchase orders with the corresponding vendors relating to all equipment, software and accessories. We will track the vendor shipments and manage against the implementation project plan. Once the product is received from the manufacturers all pieces will be thoroughly tested and checked against the bill of materials. Once shipment is received, Wabtec will process and manage the multiple vendor invoices. All equipment will be logged, tagged and put in inventory for shipment to multiple locations.

Asset Tag Management
Wabtec is currently attaching customer asset tags to specific customer units. This allows each device to be tracked by the Asset Tag number as well as the Serial Number.

Inventory Management
Wabtec can maintain the inventory for all CRB devices. We have a separate area in our service center where all the equipment resides. We provide up-to-date inventory levels and location information of deployed equipment on demand. We serve this information over the web to a secure site. We also ship equipment directly to the field as the locations are brought online, or equipment is repaired.

Repair Management
Through our Repair Tracking System and support personnel, Wabtec will manage all issues and the complete repair process. Once the device has been identified as defective, we will manage and log all aspects of the device's repair. We log the issue, and ensure proper shipping, manufacturer repair and return of the device to the field.

Warranty Management
In conjunction with the Repair Management, all warrantees on all components will be monitored and managed through the repair process. Wabtec will ensure that all warranties are administered and associated repairs be credited.

Reports
Wabtec has a series of reports that allow each customer to view the service history for all mobile and wireless devices. The reports are provided to give visibility to common failures in the field as well as a complete service history of units by location. This will allow visibility to specific locations that are experiencing unusually high repairs. The reports will be provided in a standard format available over the web. Below is an example of the Reports Section of the Repair Tracking System (RTS). We have many standard reports that allow different ways to display information related to device location information, device repair history, service center inventory levels, and warranty tracking.
